Manhattan - Maria's Mont Blanc Restaurant
"Swiss-French and Swiss-German cuisines come together in a menu rarely seen in the States. Cold vichyssoise is rich and flavorful, a bit heavy with cream; sharply smoked trout arrives in a relish-plate style. Emince de veau Zuerichoise presents quality veal nicely dressed with mushrooms and onions in a light cream sauce, but pace yourself. Swiss cheese fondue for two easily serves three, and its bubbly, aromatic blend of wine and gruyere (served with bread cubes) is top-of-the-line. If you're too full for chocolate fondue, an apple tart completes the meal on a light note."
