Manhattan - Reichenbach Hall
Munich in Midtown; Bratwurst, Beer and giants pretzels
As is expected of a German-style beer hall in midtown, this place is loud, crowded, expensive, and raucously fun. Good for blowing off steam after a long day at work, the lederhosen-clad waitresses and timber-lined dining hall almost make it feel like you’ve left the country.
It’s not the place to take a first date, but it is ideal for a big group. You can order all kinds of sausages and bratwursts, paired with pilsners and hefeweizens, but in keeping with the atmosphere of the place, go big: Start with the WOW-size Giant Bavarian Pretzel, a $20 twisted thing the size of a large pizza.
Cap it off with a boot or two of pristine and hard-to-pronounce German beers (and these boots, though pricey, are nothing to scoff at) and you’ll be singing songs for the old country in no time. (Ny Mag)
