German-American Club of Albany

The German-American Club, founded in 1895, is one of the oldest social organizations in the Capital District. It is open to the public and welcome all, no matter their ethnic or religious background. German heritage and club membership is not necessary. The club members continue to speak German, play German music, serve German food and foster German-American traditions and culture.

Every month they host an event, usually a dinner-dance; featuring live German and Polka music. In the cooler months, events take place in the banquet hall, and during the Summer they host three picnics in their beautiful pine tree shaded park - Schuetzenpark. At these Summerfests families and children can take pleasure in a wholesome atmosphere while enjoying fine German food, drink, music, and dance.
