Kölsche Funke rut-wieß vun 1823
The Kölsche Funke rut-wieß vun 1823, Die Rote Funken New York 1961 Karneval Society is the Tri-state area's only Karneval (German Mardi Gras) Verein and are proud to have the only "Dreigestirn" (Prinz, Jungfrau and Bauer) in the United States.
The New York club strives to preserve the German traditions of celebrating Karneval also known as "Fasching, Fassennacht, Fastnacht" or the Fifth Season. Meetings are held monthly at Plattdütsche Park, New York's German-American Cultural Headquarters, located in Franklin Square.
