Gemuetlichen Enzianer

The Gemuetlichen Enzianer was founded in 1931 by a group of German immigrants in New York City who sought to uphold the traditions, dance (Schuhplattler) and costumes of Bavaria (Germany) and Tyrol (Austria). Today, the club is 100+ members strong with the fourth generation of members beginning to dance.  The Gemuetlichen Enzianer meets three times per month and performs year-round throughout the tri-state area.

Those interested in becoming members
should attend a bi-monthly dance practice, held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays on the month (excluding July, August and December) at Plattdeutsche Park Restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square, New York.
