Lower East Side Tenement Museum German American Friends Committee

The Lower East Side Tenement Museum's Founder's Circle has been recently augmented through the addition of a German American Friends Committee.  The Circle is a program for major individual donors to the tenement museum; members receive free tours and museum store discounts, as well as invitations to exclusive gatherings to meet scholars, participate in conversations about the Museum's plans and join one or more Friends Committees.

The German American Friends Committee will host one event per year that explores themes of immigration, culture and nationality through art, theater, entertainment, music and food.  All Friends Committees support the Tenement Museum's mission to ""promote tolerance and historical perspective through the presentation and interpretation of the variety of immigrant and migrant experiences on Manhattan's Lower East Side, a gateway to America.""
